Those who know Talitah — warmly called "Tali" or "Sharna" — understand that her strength is steady, grounded, and deeply rooted in hope for the future.
From an early age, she has faced challenges that could have easily dimmed her spirit — but with the unwavering love of her family, she has risen each time with grace. She is the eldest sister, the encourager, the protector, and the safe place for those she loves most.
With a natural gift for creativity, Tali aspires to become a Creative Director within Papua New Guinea's fashion and design industry — building a brand that celebrates and preserves PNG culture through modern, expressive storytelling. With her IT background, she also dreams of integrating technology into creative design, and of launching her own podcast where PNG youth can share stories and inspire one another.
"Tali is deeply loved because she loves deeply. She is strong because she has learned to stand through every storm. And she is worth fighting for — not only because of who she is, but because of the beautiful future she is still meant to live."
In January 2026, Talitah's life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia — an aggressive blood cancer requiring intensive, time-sensitive treatment. She has faced this challenge with the same courage and faith that defines her: unwavering, steady, and full of hope.
Diagnosed with T-ALL. Treatment begins immediately at St. Luke's Medical Center, Philippines.
A major milestone. Remission status reached after Cycle 1. Three chemotherapy cycles now complete.
Fourth cycle began 3 May 2026. A compatible bone marrow donor has been confirmed.
The BMT is the definitive path to cure. The window is time-sensitive. Your support makes this possible.
The Hope for Talitah Medical Appeal is a structured, transparent fundraising drive established by Talitah's family and community. Its sole purpose is to raise the funds needed to complete her full treatment pathway at St. Luke's Medical Center — so she can return home, healthy and whole.
Make a ContributionTalitah's treatment at St. Luke's Medical Center covers an intensive pathway — from ongoing chemotherapy cycles through to the Allogeneic Bone Marrow Transplant, post-transplant recovery, medications, and specialised hospital care. The family has already made significant payments toward her treatment, demonstrating deep commitment and sacrifice. What remains is a substantial gap that the family alone cannot bridge.
This appeal has a fully verified and documented fundraising target, supported by an official hospital Statement of Account from St. Luke's Medical Center and detailed cost projections. We welcome any individual, business, or organisation to contact us directly to request our verified documentation and financial overview. Every kina raised goes directly to the hospital — nothing passes through individuals.
Tiered and phased sponsorship packages are available for PNG-based organisations. A full Sponsorship Proposal with governance documentation is available on request.
Every individual contribution — no matter the size — brings Talitah one step closer to her transplant and recovery. Friends, family, colleagues, and community are all welcome to give.
You do not need money to help. Sharing Talitah's story on social media, WhatsApp, or by word of mouth extends our reach and brings support she might never have found alone.
Download our campaign documents to share with your network, display in your workplace, or present to decision-makers. Every share reaches someone new who might help.

Coming Soon"What stands between Talitah and a full recovery is now simply a matter of resources. A matched donor has been found. The medical team is ready. The transplant date is set. All that remains is the funding to see it through."
The Hope for Talitah Medical Appeal is led by a dedicated committee of family members, community representatives, and independent oversight figures. We are accountable, transparent, and fully committed to ensuring every contribution serves one purpose — Talitah's recovery.
For enquiries about the committee or to request formal documentation, please contact us at admin@hopefortalitah.org.
We understand that trust is the foundation of every act of generosity. That is why we have structured this campaign with rigorous financial oversight, independent verification, and a direct payment model that removes any doubt about where contributions go.
All donations are paid directly to St. Luke's Medical Center via Security Bank Philippines. No funds pass through individual committee members — ever.
Talitah's diagnosis, hospital Statement of Account, and treatment plan are verified and available for review by donors and sponsors on request.
Every donation is reconciled against official St. Luke's receipts. A named independent compliance officer and reviewer are in place.
Donors and sponsors receive milestone updates on Talitah's treatment progress and the utilisation of raised funds throughout the campaign.
A National Gaming Control Board (NGCB) raffle application was submitted April 2026. An IRC tax deductibility application is in progress (lodged May 2026).
The committee is accessible and responsive. Contact us at any time with questions, requests for documentation, or to arrange a contribution.
Every contribution goes directly to St. Luke's Medical Center, Philippines — immediately, verifiably, and exclusively for Talitah's treatment.

Talitah began her fourth cycle of chemotherapy on 3 May 2026. She has now completed three of eight planned cycles, and her medical team continues to monitor her progress closely. Her strength and determination remain an inspiration to everyone around her.
In a development that can only be described as remarkable, a compatible bone marrow donor match has been confirmed. For many leukaemia patients, finding a matched donor is the single greatest obstacle to treatment. For Talitah, that obstacle has been overcome.
Talitah achieved remission status following her very first chemotherapy cycle — a powerful early victory. Her medical team is greatly encouraged by this progress.
The Allogeneic Bone Marrow Transplant is scheduled to begin on 15 June 2026. This is the definitive path to cure — the procedure that gives Talitah the best possible chance at a full and lasting recovery. This is where your support is most urgently needed.
Whether you have a question, want to arrange a donation, request documentation, or simply reach out — we welcome your contact and will respond promptly.
