Her Story

Meet Talitah
Sharnaleese Pusal

Those who know Talitah — warmly called "Tali" or "Sharna" — understand that her strength is steady, grounded, and deeply rooted in hope for the future.

From an early age, she has faced challenges that could have easily dimmed her spirit — but with the unwavering love of her family, she has risen each time with grace. She is the eldest sister, the encourager, the protector, and the safe place for those she loves most.

With a natural gift for creativity, Tali aspires to become a Creative Director within Papua New Guinea's fashion and design industry — building a brand that celebrates and preserves PNG culture through modern, expressive storytelling. With her IT background, she also dreams of integrating technology into creative design, and of launching her own podcast where PNG youth can share stories and inspire one another.

"Tali is deeply loved because she loves deeply. She is strong because she has learned to stand through every storm. And she is worth fighting for — not only because of who she is, but because of the beautiful future she is still meant to live."

In January 2026, Talitah's life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia — an aggressive blood cancer requiring intensive, time-sensitive treatment. She has faced this challenge with the same courage and faith that defines her: unwavering, steady, and full of hope.

The Medical Appeal

Together, We Can Get Talitah Through This

The Hope for Talitah Medical Appeal is a structured, transparent fundraising drive established by Talitah's family and community. Its sole purpose is to raise the funds needed to complete her full treatment pathway at St. Luke's Medical Center — so she can return home, healthy and whole.

Why Your Support Matters

What We Are Raising For

Talitah's treatment at St. Luke's Medical Center covers an intensive pathway — from ongoing chemotherapy cycles through to the Allogeneic Bone Marrow Transplant, post-transplant recovery, medications, and specialised hospital care. The family has already made significant payments toward her treatment, demonstrating deep commitment and sacrifice. What remains is a substantial gap that the family alone cannot bridge.

This appeal has a fully verified and documented fundraising target, supported by an official hospital Statement of Account from St. Luke's Medical Center and detailed cost projections. We welcome any individual, business, or organisation to contact us directly to request our verified documentation and financial overview. Every kina raised goes directly to the hospital — nothing passes through individuals.

💛

Personal Donations

Every individual contribution — no matter the size — brings Talitah one step closer to her transplant and recovery. Friends, family, colleagues, and community are all welcome to give.
